Sunderland is the venue for the British Gas ASA National Championships (50m) taking place from 18th to 21st August.
The Championships are the last opportunity for swimmers to attempt to gain selection to represent England at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games.
DX Girls Captain, Livvi Sefton, will be competing in her final competition before heading off to San Diego University to continue her studies and swimming career in the California sunshine. She competes in the 50m, 100m and 200m Butterfly.
Boys Captain, Chris Steeples, looks to continue his great form from the European Junior Championships and his Gold and Bronze medal winning swims from the ASA National Youth Championships when he competes in the 50m, 100m and 200m Breaststroke events.
Joining Livvi and Chris will be Zichen Liu (100m Backstroke), Molly Renshaw (200m Breaststroke) and Kane Haggett (50m Freestyle) all of whom are looking to gain valuable experience of racing at a senior level.
Other DX qualifiers who have chosen not to compete in Sunderland were Jodie Hawksworth and Emily Allsopp.
