DX in Record Breaking Form

Molly Renshaw has set a new East Midlands Regional Record in the Junior 200m Breaststroke. The previous mark, set in 2001, stood at 2:33.27 with Molly taking just over a 1/4 second off the time with her 2:33.01 from the Burns Open Meet.

9 new Derbyshire County Records were also set at the weekend with Jodie Hawksworth claiming 4 of these - in the 100m Breaststroke (Senior and Junior) and 50m Breaststroke (Snr/Jnr). Her times of 1:11.99 and 34.18 beat the existing records of 1:12.5, 1:15.4, 34..5 and 35.0.

Other DASA record breakers were Molly Renshaw (200m Breaststroke Snr/Jnr), Zichen Liu (200m Backstroke), James Lovatt (100m Fly) and Chris Steeples (50m Breaststroke).

New DX Club Records were set by Kane Haggett (50m Freestyle), James Lovatt (100m Freestyle and 100m Fly), Zichen Liu (200m Backstroke), Jodie Hawksworth (50m and 100m Breaststroke) and Molly Renshaw (200m Breaststroke).

This gives a total of 17 new records - showing what fine form DX swimmers are in!
