DX MEET Major Success both in and out of the Pool!

Derventio eXcel hosted their Feb Festival last weekend at Ponds Forge.









Despite the weather trying to slow us down, both meet and swimmers went excellently and a big thankyou goes out to Richard Latham Promoter of the meet and all of the parents and supporters of DX that helped to pull off a very professional and thoroughly enjoyable meet both before and during the meet.





Down to the swimming:





DX saw some excellent races with further swimmers gaining Olympic Trials and National Qualifying times and medals galore.





SARAH VASEY qualifed for the OLYMPIC TRIALS in the 100m Breaststroke.





IMOGEN CLARK qualified with her FIRST EVER NATIONAL TIME in the 100m Breaststroke.





HARRY WEBSTER qualified for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS in the 200m Breaststroke.





DANNY ANDERSON qualifed for the SENIOR and YOUTH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS in the 100m and 200m Breaststroke.





EVE FARNSWORTH qualified for the 200m Backstroke for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.





ABBIE WOOD qualified for the SENIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS in the 400m I.M.





DX and DXDS swimmers swam personal best after personal best times to gain medals galore amongst them were:





MISCHA MENZIES won a Silver in the 100m Free


JODIE HAWKSWORTH won a Silver in the 100m Breast, 50m Breast

SARAH VASEY won Bronze in the 50m Breast


JAMES LATHAM won Gold in the 50m Breaststroke, Silver in the 200m Breast and 100m Breast.


OLIVER DAVIDSON won 2nd place in the TOP BOY award and Silver in the 100m Backstroke, 200m Backstroke. Oli also won Silver in the 200m Breaststroke and Bronze in the 100m Breaststroke.


ELLE PRYCE won Silver in the 200m Backstroke, 50m Back. Elle also won Bronze in the 100m Back.


KRISSY TOMLINSON won Gold in the 100m Back, 200m Backstroke, 100m Fly, 200m I.M, 50m Fly, 50m Freestyle, 100m Free, 200m Free. Krissy also won Silver in the 100m Breast, 200m Breast.


MOLLY RENSHAW won Gold in the 200m Breast, Silver medal in the 400m I.M, 200m I.M. Molly also won Bronze in the 100m Breaststroke


ABBIE WOOD won the TOP GIRL award, she also won Gold medals in the 400m I.M, 50m Breast, 200m Breaststroke, 100m Breast, 200m I.M. Abbie also won Silver in the 200m Fly, 200m Freestyle, 100m Fly.


MATTHEW MOUNSEY won Silver in the 50m Breaststroke


ALEX POTTS won Silver in the 200m Fly,50m Free and Bronze in the 50m Back


EVE FARNSWORTH won a Bronze in the 200m Backstroke


HELEN THORNHILL won Bronze in the 50m Back


IMOGEN CLARK won Gold in the 50m Free and Silver in the 100m Breast, 200m Breast and 100m Free. Imi also won Bronze in the 200m I.M.

JAMIE INGRAM won Bronze in the 400m I.M, 200m Fly, 400m Free.

BEN GOODALL won Bronze in the 400m I.M

Tyler-Ann Black won Bronze in the 50m and 100m Free.

CHLOE BATES (DXDS and Swadlincote) gained her first two Midland Qualification times and won a Bronze medal in the 50m Breast
LAURA TRAPP (DXDS and Ripley) won Gold in the 50m Fly
MATT CROSS (DXDS and Ripley) won a Silver in the 100m Free, Bronze in the 50m Free
CHARLOTTE RAWLE won a Bronze in the 200m Fly
JASMINE COOPER (DXDS and Etwall) won Bronze in the 100m Breast
JOSH BEECH (DXDS and Long Eaton) won Silver in the 400m I.M and Bronze in the 200m Free.
