All DX relays teams safely into Nationals, whilst exceeding 100 Individual swims!

All 12 Derventio eXcel Relay Teams have now qualified for the National Championships in July and August 2010.



Today the provisional list for the Age Group Relay teams were published showing that all 3 Girls and Boys Relay teams were into the National Chaampionships in July. Click here to see the link:

DX have also already exceeded the goal set a few months ago of 100 Individual National Qualifying Times. We have 28 Swimmers qualified for 104 swims.



We have swimmers ranging from 11 years to 18 years, in every event from 50m Freestyle to 1500m Freestyle, to 400M I.M to Open Water....and everything inbetween.



This demonstrates the elite level that DX achieve is second to none throughout the spectrum, and that the elite but also fun atmosphere in which the swimmmers are immersed every day is bringing FAAASSSSSST swimming!

Boy's Club Captain Chris Steeples on hearing the news "Its great to hear that all the hard work is paying off. To have teams in all 12 relay's is awesome, and shows the strength and depth we have, it good to see the younger members of the team following in our footsteps, as I knew they would. All swimmers in the squad are really raising their game and stepping up to the challenges in training and racing. DX is a great place to train and their is no doubt in my mind that training with DX has raised my level as a swimmer, training day in day out with swimmers who are some of the best in the country and as friends are challenging me but at the same time helping me through the tough times. I cant wait to fly out to Helsinki and swim for Great Britain and ill be proud to fly the Derventio eXcel flag in Finland".
