Something to think about.........

The average DX swimmer trains for 8 pool sessions per week equating to 14-16 hours.

When you think then that every time a swimmer gets out of a morning session at 7:00am instead of 7:30am they end up missing 2 hours (1 session) of training each week - based on most swimmers coming to 4 weekday morning sessions.

Not a lot you might think but added up over the course of a season this amounts to 50 missed sessions, or to put it another way, over 6 weeks of missed training! (This also assumes that you have 100% attendance at all other times throughout the year).

In a sport where success and failure is measured by the hundreth of a second, can you afford to miss 6+ weeks of training each year?
