Other swims who made finals were: Matt Cross, Jamie Ingram, Edward Borysiak, Chloe Johnson, Jess Cross, Emma Longden, Rob Ainley, Hannah Kingdon, Mischa Menzies, Connor Smith.

Fearn Middleton also got an honourary medal for her help on poolside, not only did she swim some excellent swims and pb's she also tirelessly helped out on poolside supporting the rest of the team!

The Skins Finals also took place on the final afternoon, DX had 9 out of the 16 swimmers taking part in this, and with the rest of the team lining the pool with support the atmosphere was great.

In the Girls Skins there was Molly Renshaw, Jodie Hawksworth, Emily Allsopp, Sarah Vasey and Evie Keane, who battled it out with the Home clubs swimmers Swim Swansea.

The order of strokes came out starting with Fly in which Jodie, Sarah and Molly posted personal best times. Sarah was the first DX swimmer to get knocked out on the backstroke leg. Following this Molly and Jodie on a fly swim swam to a tie for knockout and all swimmers had to swim fly again (unbeknown to the swimmers at the time breaststroke had been pulled out for the next round, but it had to be fly again to sort out the tie!!!) On this round Molly was knocked out with this time only 1 one hundreth of a second splitting her and Molly. On the next round Jodie was eliminated leaving Emily and Evie to battle it out with the Swansea swimmer. Evie was the next to get knocked out but in 3rd place recieved a cash prize (and after posting a great pb in the 50m free just minutes before the start of the skins). It was left to Emily to fight it out with the Swansea Swimmer on a Fly last round, Emily showed her strength and determination to win the SKINS event and get a cash prize! Well Done!

The boys skins saw Kane Haggett, Chris Steeples, Matt Smithurst and Kev Wallbank taking part. The Boys skins started off more split on the strokes even getting a breaststroke round in there, first to be eliminated and finishing in 5th place was Kev Wallbank, he was followed by Steeps being knocked out on a backstroke round, Matt Smithurst finished in 3rd place with a Cash prize which then left Kane to battle it out on freestyle with Tom Greenfield from Cardiff. Both class swimmers battled it out and Tom just out touched Kane to win. Kane came 2nd with a cash prize.

Kane was also the winner of the Ham Cob eating competition...I think it was 10 and counting????

Following on from this it was announced that Molly Renshaw had been awarded TOP GIRL for her fina points score on her 200m Breaststroke. Well Done Molly!

DERVENTIO EXCEL won TOP CLUB, Club Captains Chris Steeples and Hannah Sullivan collected the cash prize award on behalf of the club.

DX surpassed their target of beating last years medal total of 78 medals with 90 medals won this year. Countless Personal bests, National times and great racing!

Well Done to All Swimmers, not only was there fast swimming but it was a great learning experience of staying away as a team expecially at a competition.

A big thankyou has to go out to Keith Kelly, Sue Keane and Tracy Hawksworth for being super orgainsed and great support throughout, thankyou guys couldnt have done it without you!

A big thankyou also has to go out to Ady and Alison Jones and Richard Latham for the organisation before the event and to Karl Davidson for refreshments for keeping the kids going.
