DX gain their first 7 Olympic Trials Qualifiers and 7 National Quailifiers of the 2011-2012 Season already!

Derventio eXcel have 7 swimmers qualified to swim in the pool of dreams at the OLYMPIC TRIALS in March 2012.

The swimmers will race alongside the best swimmers in the world at the GB Olympic Trials when swimmers from GB and the rest of the world compete in the London Olympic Pool.

Other Derventio Alumni to qualify whilst training and racing for Derventio are Chris Steeples, Zichen Liu and James Lovatt.



Derventio eXcel hosted their first short course open meet in Derbyshire last weekend.

This open meet was a huge success and swimmers all swam well for their first meet of the season.

The focus was on racing skills and swimming tough, but was also the place for early season personal best after personal best.

7 Derventio Swimmers have qualified for the National Championships in their first races of the season!
