Derventio eXcel swimmers Abbie Wood and Ben Goodall have been selected to swim at the UK Schools Games in May 2012.
The Games sponsored by Sainsburys is:
" a multi-sport event for the UK's elite young athletes of school age. In this, its inaugural year, the Sainsbury's 2012 School Games is being held in the Olympic Park and other venues from 6-9 May to build on the excitement and inspirations of the 2012 Games.
The Sainsbury's 2012 School Games seeks to create an inspirational and motivational setting which not only provides our elite young sports peoplewith the opportunity to thrive and perform at the highest levels, but encourages more young people to take part and succeed in sport. Responsibility for the development and organisation of the Sainsbury's 2012 School Games lies with the Youth Sport Trust."
