National Youth Championships - Day Four

PB's in the heats from Fran Marshall (28.08 50m Frs), Zichen (1:55.88 200m Frs), Harry Webster (1:09.35 100m Brs) and Fran Marshall, leading off the Girls 4x200m Freestyle Relay with a time of 2:08.53.


The relay qualified 9th for the final with Fran, Cat (2:10.62), Gina (2:12.26) and Evie (2:08.58)



In the afternoon session, Scott Tovell-Coleman set another PB, this time in the 800m Freestyle. His time of 8:38.94 placed him 15th in the 17/18 years age group and was his best swim of the competition.




Emily Allsopp was 15th after the Semi-Finals of the 100m Backstroke with a 1:06.93, Jodie Hawksworth improved to a 1:13.71 in the 100m Breaststroke Semi's placing her 5th going into the final on Saturday. In the same event, Molly Renshaw finished in 15th with a 1:15.01.

In his best swim of the championships, Zichen stormed to a new 200m Backstroke PB of 2:05.64 which gave him 5th place in the final.

Chris Steeples looked a class above the rest of the field in the 100m Breaststroke Semi-Finals setting a PB at the 50m split (29.83) and at the finish was 1.4 secs ahead of the next fastest swimmer with a PB of 1:03.52.

The girls held their 9th place from the heats of the 4x200m Freestyle relay. There was a 3rd 200m PB of the championships for Fran leading off in 2:07.97 and splits of 2:12.08 for Gina, 2:13.07 for Cat and 2:08.53 for Evie.
