Chris swam in the heats of the 200m Breaststroke at the Portland Junior International Short Course Championships and quaified in 6th place for the final in a 2.67 second pb 2.16.94 lowering his own county record.
The final will be swum after 2am (our time).
Meanwhile in a pool across the Ocean, James Latham swam a personal best in the 100m Breaststroke of 1.10.29 which is under the British Championship qualification - although at the competition he was at does not count towards qualification this will give James the confidence that he can swim well inside the quaification time and be joining his teammates from Derventio eXcel, 9 have quaified already with more set to come.
