Today started off with Evie, Emily and Emma losing points for their teams by turning up late for the morning session. Evie then redeemed herself by running up to the pool with Hannah S and Ben to alert the pool to let us in. They gained half a point each - taking one for the team!In the morning session we had a kick set...we got lots of kicks out of it! Ben enjoyed it the most trying to beat Zichen, for his efforts he won a point for his team (The Safe Sick Bad men - aka Kane, Ben, Molly, Harry, Rosie and Lucy).
After Breakfast we headed down to the beach for the sandcastle building competiton. All teams got really into it, but no team actually built any castles. We had a Car, Adam and Eve, Egypt Style and the winners the Safe Sick Bad Men won with a Mermaid theme using Ben as the model! The judges had to make their minds up quick as the tide was coming in. All looked really good (again photo evidence to follow) but weird as it was Black Sand. This took The Safe Sick bad men from last to joint first - showing that the lead is changing daily and its all to play for. Some of the lads then had some fun in the waves.
In the afternoon pool session we all split into groups of Technique and Aerobic and "Deal or No Deal". The Deal or No Deal team managed to loose the £1 Million box earlier on, which meant the infamous "Dive and Glide set @ 20mins" remained a myth. We will change groups on tuesday, lets hope they are unlucky and pick the 12 x 100 fly @ 1.30 box. All swimmers swam well this afternoon and Sarah and Oli joined Ben in gaining swimmers of the day points for their teams! Evie managed to do some swimming and fashion designing at the same time with her tenerife t-shirt to cover her sunburn!
In the evening we had Kim's quiz on General Knowledge, with Steeps forgetting which places he had competed for Great Britain in, and Emily getting a Cheryl Cole question wrong!!!!!!!!!! Being the embarassing highlights of the event. The Red Hot Chili Peppers won the quiz (Matt, Hannah Sullivan, Evie, Sarah, Oli and Emma).
Later in the evening the entertainment came from Leanne volunteering to hold a real life Golden Eagle, after the host had had his fun scaring the c**p out of her. He told Leanne that if she made eye contact or even looked at it too long or stroked the bird it would eat her. It turned out to be a big softie!
At the end of Day 3 the team points stand as:
1st - The Red Hot Chili Peppers
2nd - The Original Phone Boxes
3rd - The Safe Sick Bad Men
4th - The A-Team
Tomorrow we are all exicted as it is the day we go to Siam Water Park, after a hard training session of course. Here we will have our next team challenge - water slide racing, where Andi will take on Steeps, Matt, Kane and Zichen!
