19/2/2011 First Day Training
One wicked first day training. We had a long walk to the pool but it was worth it when we walked up the steps out of the changing rooms and saw the freezing cold 50m pool. We were all glad to know that it had no chlorine in, but it did have something weird that seemed to taste of salt!!! Baring in mind the sun had not yet appeared the pool still looked amazingly cold, which unfortunately, it was. The first comedy of the morning was when Eve Farnsworth somehow could not get her sponge off. She eventually resorted to walking back to the hotel with it on!(photo evidence to come) The next was when Zichen slipped trying to kick a shampoo bottle to someone...oh Zichen. When the sun finally did come out the bikinis and shorts were finally whipped out! Every meal time has had the “Rabies Cat”, as it is now called, return along with a load of screams from some of the girls. Personally, we think it wants food, but we may be wrong. The day passed on to reveal tan lines and burns. Swimmers have been put into four teams to take on challenges and activities through the week to win a prize at the end. After we had our dinner we went into the conference room for our quick quiz of music lyrics and young celebrity photos. These results added to the luggage results and points added to the teams of Molly, Evie and Jonesy for best performance in the afternoon quality set,Kathryn for the cold pool dare and deductions from Oli for forgetting his kit bag left ‘The A-Team’ (Emily, Zichen, Kev, Jodie, Leah and Eve’s team) in the lead with 22 points on the points table.
