Smithers, Kane and Anderson's well sik blog!

Experienced the delights of morning gymnastics today. All the swimmers attempting to co-ordinate their arms and legs and keep pace with the gentle warm-up proved a challenge! Some swimmers seemed to struggle to move their arms and legs quite as well on land as they do in the pool. Next up was a picturesque 30minute run along the sea front in which we divided into fast/medium and slightly special groups in terms of ability some of the swimmers excelled (Abbie). Others not so much (Molly, a.k.a troll). Finally after an epic two hours of sweat, tears and pain it was time for a well earned breakfast ( excluding pancakes and croissants which are contraband and being caught eating them by coach Manley will result in the deduction of hard earned team points).0

Onto the ice pit next for a massive threshold set 2 choices was given and the group was split, on whole the best. Thresh set of the season in the first lane Molly and Jonesy put the lads to shame with Molly taking the fastest Rep of the set off J Lo "jimmy" in a 2.16, Boothy was as much use as a helicopters ejector seat with Austin overtaking him. Newly formed middle distance swimmer Kane completed two rounds of the second set whilest Fran and Lucy was flying through the full three rounds. And Kim was proud with all the younger swimmers effort this morning unfortunately Mounsey couldn't make the session due to becoming I'll from his roommates efforts in mimicking the habitat of pigs "ask Andi for further details on this"

The afternoon session was left to the experts as the younger swimmers had the session off. Andi was happy with the set with some quick times being posted by Tyler the Rottweiler, Fran, Harry and Lucy earning vital points for their teams! The evening entertainment was down to Captain Kane's Pirates who hosted a DX Bingo Night very well presented by Sarah Vasey. The night started of with the coaches getting first prize for getting a full row, with the winning prize of a bottle of water being presented to the pirates.

The team points table at the end of the night ended with the Pirates slowly sailing away on 25, followed by the Smurfs on 21 and trailing behind, but now in double figures Team TAB with 12!
