Friday Evening Session 1 - Distance Events

Session 1 saw 6 DX swimmers competing in the 1500mtr & 800mtr Freestyle.
First up were Ben, Jamie & Mischa in the 1500mtr Freestyle.  Swimming in the same heat Ben & Jamie took gold in their age group and Mischa took bronze in the senior group and more importantly his first 1500mtr National time.
In the 800mtr Freestyle, Leah won a silver medal and obtained a midland time swimming this event long course for the first time.  Amy swam an 11 second PB also swimming long course for the first time and Francesca swam a 21 second PB coming in 4th in her age group.
Great swimming and a good start to the weekend.
