British International Open - Final day - more DX Finals!

Sunday was the final day of the British International Open in Leeds and led to more finals by Derventio swimmers.

Kane Haggett cruised through the heats in a strong finishing swim in the 100m Freestyle to make his first senior 100m Free final later that day.

Imogen Clark swam a personal best time in the heats of the 50m Breast to qualify second fastest for the Junior final and with a long glide on the finish will be looking to improve on her time again tonight.

Sarah Vasey attacked the 1 length Breaststroke sprint and posted a time ever so slightly off her best time, which is looking promising with an uniterupted training block down to the British Championships in June.

Jodie Hawksworth competing in her third event of the championships was outside her best time in the heats.

Kevin Wallbank swam in his last event of the championships in the 200m I.M, but was just outside his best time.

Hannah Jones was straight back up this morning in the 100m Fly and narrowly missed the Junior Final.

Last but certainly not least Francesca Muir-Harris who was competing in her first British Championships, having qualified for both National and British Championships competitions earlier this year swam in the 400m Freestyle and improved her rankings by 2 places.  Francesca will put this invaluable experience in her toolbox ready for the National Championships in July.
