Derventio swimmers Imogen Clark and Captain Kane Haggett were the last two swimmers to compete at the British International Open for 2013.
Imogen was in the 50m Breaststroke and was looking to go faster in the final. Imogen did just that and smashed her personal best time to go 33.26 seconds and came 2nd!! Stepping up in the final is a crucial racing skill that Imogen has been working on and she did it!!
Next up and last but certainly not least Kane swam in his first ever Senior 100m Freestyle final and finished in 6th place!!
DX swimmers from the British Open are now going to be in a hard training phase and gearing up for the British Championships in June, and National Championships in July, whilst also awaiting confirmation on selection for National teams!!
Well Done Swimmers....lets get back to work!!
