Lewis White qualifies for 2 finals on Day 1 of the British International Disability Championships!

Lewis White swam on Day 1 of the British International Disability Championships at Sheffield this morning.  This competition doubles up as the World Championships trials for the British team.

Lewis as one of the youngest competitiors smashed his personal best time by 2.59 seconds in the 100m Free to qualify in 10th place for tonight's Youth final.  Lewis then minutes later went onto qualify for his second final in another personal best time in the 100m Backstroke by 3.8 seconds to qualify in 9th position for the Youth final.

Lewis is the youngest competitor in the finals tonight and will be competing against swimmers up to 16 years old in all categories (with points to be awarded based on how close swimmers are to their respective classification's world record).

This will be a great learning experience for Lewis who is looking to step up and enjoy swimming amongst some of the best paralympians in the world tonight and looking to repeat his performances.

Well Done Lewis!
