Derventio take "DX Factor" to Swansea!

Just a message to Swimmers and parents to say that not only did the swimmers fly the flag for DX, Derbyshire and England in Swansea in terms of the great performances but also as a team and as young adults.

• Throughout the stay we had numerous comments and compliments:
  The hotel staff comented on what a wonderful bunch of swimmers they were throughout the stay always being well behaved and well mannered.
• The Restaurant staff commented on the fact that they have never had a large group of children like ours that have behaved so
  impeccably at each meal time.
• Several of the officials and the stewards at the competition made a point of coming to speak to me to say that they have never met an english team that has been so polite and also engaging with them and it was a pleasure to work with them all weekend. Particularly the BOYS!
• Several of the other coaches and teams also commented on the team support that was evident from race one right through to the skins event at the end. Every swimmer was supported and supporting each other and that it was great to see! We also made the most noise (thanks to Karen and Sue for providing the horns). They also noticed the professionalism of the team particuarlarly in warm ups and swim downs.
  
  
  Thanks also to Andy Smithurst for organising, and Sue Keane, Peter Marshall and Tristan Smith for accompanying as team managers.
  
  Well Done to all Swimmers, not only for your fast swimming but also for your team work, professionalism and behaviour.

This weekend has shown that Derventio is the place to be if you want to eXcel in and out of the pool!
