ASA Senior National - Day 3 FINE FORM CONTINUES FOR DERVENTIO SWIMMERS!

Day 3 of the ASA Senior Nationals and first up was 17 year old Emily Allsopp in the 200m Backstroke in a time of 2.20.58 just outside her pb, and with Emily not being rested for this event must give her great confidence going into the Youth Nationals in July.

Next was DX Club Captain and GB International Chris Steeples who continued his form with a blistering personal best time of 29.12 to qualify for tonights final where he will be looking to lower the time.

Kane Haggett the sprint king was in next and he also posted a personal best time of 23.14 seconds breaking the county record set by Ross Davenport of 23.35 set in 2008. Kane and olympian Ross have swam together on many occassions have huge respect for each other.

Next up was the girls in the 100m Breaststroke and GB international Jodie Hawksworth again not rested for this meet swam a blistering time of 1.11.39 seconds to qualify in second for tonights final.

Molly Renshaw also swam this event could not quite capture the form of her 200m in which she qualified for the World Championships last night and was off her personal best time by a second.

Last in this morning was the 100m Backstroke for men. Zichen Liu posted a personal best time of 57.34 to qualify for 8th place into tonights final. James Lovatt was just off his personal best time and Kane Haggett who had minutes earlier swam in the 50m Free was also off his personal best time.
