GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE as DX swimmers swim for England!

ABBIE WOOD took GOLD in the Girls 200m Breaststroke in a new personal best time of 2.36.30.  Abbie timed the finish perfectly to come through to to take the lead in the last 15m, in a race in which she was competing against girls 2 years her senior she commanded the race well.

Abbie also competed in the 100m Freestyle, not one of her favoured events she swam a nearly 3 second personal best time to achieve a National Qualifying time, her first in this event.

Next up for England was BEN GOODALL, Ben competed in one of his favourtie events the 1500m Freestyle.  Ben took the BRONZE medal in a very close and exciting race in which less than 1 second seperated the top 3 swimmers.  Ben posted a personal best time of 16.18.53.

Ben also took the GOLD medal as part of the Men's 4 x 200m Freestyle team, again a very close and exciting race, all 4 boys put in a great team effort to take the win.

Ben also competed in the 200m Fly in which he narrowly missed his personal best time and a medal finishing strong in 4th position.

SARAH VASEY competed in the 100m Breaststroke for England Central and took 5th position, just outside her personal best time.
Sarah then went on to swim the Breaststroke leg of the 4 x 100m Medley relay taking the SILVER medal in style.
