Abbie had one of the most exciting races of the meet and battled down the last 50m head to head to win the the Silver medal just .20 behind Gold in a time of 2.21.44!
Well Done Abbie.
Elle Pryce and Kathryn Roworth were also swimming today both in their first ever Nationals in the 200m Backstroke. Both girls were just outside their personal best times and Elle improved her ranking from 29th to 24th!
Last up in the heats were the Boys 4 x 100m Free relay team of Callum Gascoyne, Jamie Ingram, Oliver Davidson and Joe Doody. The boys who qualified for the Nationals as 1st reserve (41st place) all smashed their personal best time to improve their ranking by a whopping 13 places to finish in 21st place! Well Done Boys great teamwork!
