ABBIE WOOD NATIONAL CHAMPION! - HAT TRICK!

Abbie Wood won the Gold medal and became NATIONAL CHAMPION in the 200m Breaststroke tonight.  Abbie who took control of the race and showed her impressive skills stormed to victory in style winning by 4.35 seconds!

Abbie with this win has now won the National Championships 3 times in a row on this event giving her a hat trick of victories, each one by a whopping 4-5 seconds.

Well Done Abbie a great achievment!

Also in finals action tonight was Imogen Morris.  Imogen qualified for her first National Championships this year and qualified for the final in a 3 second personal best time to finsh 8th in the final by dropping her pb by another second in the final.

For the boys today Jamie Ingram was swimming in the 1500m.  Jamie who also qualified for his first National Championships this year has seen a dramatic rise to National level after only qualifying for his first midland championships last season.  In this tough event Jamie fought hard and finished 10th fastest in the Country!
