Today saw some of the Derventio swimmers in action on Day 1 of the National Youth Championships 2012!
Kevin Wallbank, James Latham and Danny Anderson all swam to personal best times in the 200m Breaststroke, and Kevin and James will look forward to the semi-finals this evening.
Fran Marshall also swam a personal best time in the 100m Free, narrowly missing the semi-finals by 0.04!
Molly Renshaw and Hannah Jones swam just outside their personal best times to qualify for the semi-finals in the 200m I.M and 100m Fly respectivley which will take place later today.
Harry Webster swam in the 200m Breast, and Eve Farnsworth and Lucy Wood swam in the 100m Backstroke heats and were just outside their personal best times.
Josh Booth who is swimming for his school at this competition also qualified for tonights semi-finals in the 100m Backstroke.
