Derventio eXcel's Kevin Wallbank and James Latham were on fine form on Day 1 of the National Championships both qualifying for tomorrow evenings final in the 200m Breaststroke. Kevin has seen his personal best tumble 5 seconds from when he qualified for the National Championships in this event at the end of June, and James has dropped his time by nearly 2 seconds, with very different paced swims, and is showing great form for his 100m later in the week.
Molly Renshaw and Hannah Jones also competed in the 200m I.M and 100m Fly semi-finals respectivley but missed the finals and will look forward to their more favoured events over the coming days.
