Derventio swimmers went up to Sheffield today to compete in the distance events at the Premier meet.
Francesca Muir-Harris and Leah Beal were swimming together in the same heat and it was a 2 in 1 show as Leah Beal qualified for the National Championships for the first time ever in the 800m Free in a personal best time of 9.54.81 seconds knocking a massive 21 seconds off her personal best time, with Francesca Muir-Harris hitting a 7 second personal best time to also qualify for the 800m Free, which adds to the 200m and 400m she achieved earlier this year.
Congratulations Girls!!
Jamie Ingram swam a personal best time in the 1500m, and Ben Goodall swam a tough even paced race.
Well Done all swimmers....now to continue with this tough phase of training down to the Regional Championships!!
