Medals for Evie, Jodie and Emily at UK School Games!


3 DX swimmers represented England Central at the UK School Games in Sunderland this weekend. Emily Allsopp, Evie Keane and Jodie Hawksworth (pictured above).

Jodie Hawksworth (pictured below) swam on saturday morning in the 200m Breaststroke and won a Bronze medal, whilst Evie Keane swam in the Girls 4 x 100m Freestyle relay and won a Silver medal. These two medals will have carried precious points for the England Central team.

On Day 2 Evie won another Silver medal in the Girls 4 x 200 Free Relay.

Jodie also came away with another medal in the Girls 100m Breaststroke.

Emily Allsopp swimming in the Girls 200m Backstroke won the Bronze medal.

These medals will have contributed crucial points with the girls swimming in 6 events, which helped the ENGLAND CENTRAL team to victory over the 7 regional rivals. England Central won with 258 points beating England North to second place.

All three girls have had a long season and have had down periods away from swimming after the national championships, these medals will keep them hungry now as they return to training for the new season on Monday.
