Derventio
eXcel to swim faster with Blueseventy until 2014
The East Midlands’ premier swim
team Deventio eXcel (DX) has once again chosen Blueseventy as its official
sponsor. Blueseventy has worked alongside DX since 2010, in which time they
have had 42 swimmers compete at National Championships. It is hoped that the renewed
partnership will help DX swimmers continue their winning ways until the end of
2014.
DX Head coach, Andi Manley said:
"I am delighted that we have signed a new partnership deal with
Blueseventy that will continue to see us working closely together for at least
the next 2 years.”
Tim Moxey from blueseventy said:
“We are really happy to have DX on board for the next two years. They are a
very successful team with a huge depth of talent and we are proud to have them
representing blueseventy in the UK.”
blueseventy will offer DX with the
very latest technical racing suits, including the neroXII range, as worn by
Derbyshire Olympian, Ross Davenport this summer. It is hoped that the
support from the specialist swimwear brand will help up and coming swimmers
follow the success of DX swimmers such as Junior European Champion Molly
Renshaw.
Manley added: “blueseventy are a
company that offer our swimmers quality racing suits and training equipment
that enhance performance and importantly are a brand that our swimmers are
proud to be seen in."
The team is proud to announce the
partnership ahead of their February Festival Long Course Open Meet on the 9-10
February at Ponds Forge International Pool, Sheffield. Blueseventy have
provided over £500 worth of prizes for the event.
As well as providing performance
kit for DX swimmers, blueseventy will work with DX swimmers during the
development and trialling of new products, including a new range of technical
suits for 2013. DX swimmers have an impressive past record, with six swimmers
having been selected for British teams and a total of sixteen British and
English records. Moxey added:
“Being able to work with such an
elite squad is great for blueseventy. Being able to get feedback from swimmer
who are at the top of their game allows us to keep on improving our products,
in particular our racing suits.”
42 DX swimmers will compete at the
February Festival Open Meet at Ponds Forge and blueseventy wishes the team lots
of fast swimming for the weekend!
