Derventio had 3 swimmers in finals on the first night of competition at the British International Open in Leeds.
First up was James Latham in the Junior 50m Breaststroke final. This was James' first final at this level of competition and James powered his way through to 8th position, just outside his personal best time he set in the heats.
Next up was 14 year old Abbie Wood in the Junior 200m I.M final. Abbie fought hard to finish in 5th position in a new persona best time of 2.21.32 seconds!
Last up on the first day was Kevin Wallbank in the Junior 100m Fly. Kevin finished in 8th position in his first final at this level of competition.
